When did WhatsApp Release the Payment Feature?
Since WhatsApp has been testing its new payment feature services for a year now, this feature is promised to be available for everyone by the end of this year. Also, the National Payments Corporation of India (NCPI) has approved WhatsApp to go live in a graded manner.

Step 1: Open the WhatsApp app on your Android or IOS device and click on the three-dotted button situated on the top right of the interface in case you are using an android device. If you are using an IOS device, go to settings.

Step 4: Choose the bank you have an active account in and then verify your phone number. Also, make sure to provide the phone number that is registered in your bank account. You will also be required to set up a UPI Pin for secured transactions.
Step 5: After verifying your phone number, click on “Allow” to let WhatsApp authenticate your accounts and then choose the account you want to do WhatsApp payment transactions with and click on “done”.
How to Send or Recieve Money with WhatsApp Payments Feature?

Sending Money
Step 1: Open the chat window of the person you want to send the money to in the WhatsApp app.

In case the sender does not have a WhatsApp payment account, he can still send you the money. In this case, you have to send your UPI ID of WhatsApp Pay to the sender and he can send you the money using other payment platforms such as Paypal, PhonePe, or GooglePay.
Once the sender has sent the money successfully, you will be informed by WhatsApp Pay through an SMS that you have received the money.

Step 1: Go on to the WhatsApp Payments and select “New Payments”.
